Remembering Marine Veteran Dan Manrique

In the wake of tragedy, Team RWB's Eagles soar nationwide to honor their fallen brother.

Former Marine Sergeant Dan Manrique left the Marine Corps in 2007 after a deployment to the Middle East and returned home to Thousand Oaks, in the northwest part of greater Los Angeles, ready to start a new chapter in his life. Like many Marines, Dan loved physical fitness, serving his country, and beer. He struggled to find a community that could offer the same camaraderie and esprit de corps that he felt on a daily basis while in the Corps. That was, until Dan joined a local chapter of Team Red, White & Blue, who affectionately refer to themselves as "Eagles."

Celebrities and veterans teamed up to raise millions to fund mental healthcare for post-9/11 vets

During Headstrong's 6th annual New York City gala, they raised over $2 million dollars to provide bureaucracy-free mental healthcare to post-9/11 vets with a little help from Jake Gyllenhaal, Seth Meyers, and many others.

On October 19, 2018, a crowd of over 700 guests gathered at Pier Sixty at Manhattan's Chelsea Piers for one reason: to help provide mental healthcare to the men and women who fight for our freedoms. During their 6th annual gala, Headstrong, an organization that provides cost-free, stigma-free, and bureaucracy-free mental healthcare to post-9/11 military veterans, put on a fun-filled event — and raised over $2 million in the process.

The Air Force Academy women's soccer team returns home to play the first of its final two home matches of the 2018 season when it plays host to Boise State, Friday, Oct. 12. The Falcons had their third straight 0-1-1 weekend, as they dropped another 0-1 match, this time to Colorado State. They followed that up with a 1-1 draw at Wyoming.

They're looking to turn their luck around this Friday.
