After a show-stealing turn in "Marvel's Daredevil," Marine veteran and human wrecking-ball Frank Castle is back with his own show, and he looks primed for the greatest revenge spree since Beatrix Kiddo had to reschedule her wedding.

The ultra-violent trailer tracks Castle's (Jon Bernthal) discovery of the deep government conspiracy that led to his family's murder before unleashing the veteran scout-sniper-turned-anti-hero on a host of baddies — with a little help from a staccato gunshot-remix of Metallica's "One."

Interesting note on the song choice: "One" is inspired by the novel "Johnny Got His Gun," which is the story of a World War I soldier who loses all four limbs and most of his senses in combat. Johnny becomes a prisoner in his own body, haunted by his memories. Since the trailer places a strong focus on Castle's internal torment, it's likely the song choice was no accident. But it also pairs nicely with the gunshots.

Netflix has yet to announce a release date for "Marvel's The Punisher," but rumors put the release on or around the Marine Corps' birthday (November 10), or Veterans Day (November 11). Check out the trailer below.
