# This wounded soldier was impaled by an RPG and survived

Private Channing Moss went on patrol in Paktika Province, Afghanistan, and left with an RPG lodged through his abdomen. Thanks to the gutsy rescue and skilled military medical teams, this wounded soldier was able to recover and return home to his family.
