To avoid those hot spots, use some duct tape! No, really. Just duct tape on the areas of your feet that rub against your shoes.

You can get extra ankle support by “ladder lacing” your shoes or boots.

Stock hygiene kits the right way and make sure you include a maxi pad. The reason? Because they're multi-purpose, just like duct tape. Place a maxi pad over a wound and bind it with duct tape to prevent bleeding out if you don’t have a proper first aid kit. Maxi pads are just as hygienic as sterile gauze. Because bacteria can’t multiply in a highly sugary environment, you can put sugar wounds to prevent bacterial infections.

Wear running tights under your pants to stay extra warm.

If you want to keep your leather shoes especially shiny, let shoe-shine sit on them for 10-15 minutes. Then, go over the shoes with a small flame. Finish it off with a polishing cloth. Do not try this if your shoes are made of non-fire-resistant materials. If you’re trying to look professional in an oversized shirt, tuck it in using the military tuck. To start a fire, use cotton and petroleum jelly.

Cotton is a great fire starter, though it burns very quickly. Covering it in petroleum jelly will make it burn steadily.

When you’re driving, the best way to lose someone you think is following you is by making four consecutive turns. Use the military method of making your bed so that it looks pristine. Pee in the shower to prevent fungal infections and save water.
