About Me
Angela Valdes-Caban is a published author and former Army National Guard spouse.
She founded the Homefront United Network in 2010 to bridge the gap between active duty, National Guard, and Reserve communities. In 2013, she was named the New Jersey National Guard Spouse of the Year. In 2014, her network gained national recognition by Joining Forces. Her passion for the military community afforded her career opportunities such as leading the financial readiness campaign for the Department of Defense, Military Saves. Her work has been featured in Military Spouse Magazine, Reserve and Guard Magazine, USAA, and Lifetime Network. She is an alum of the Military Family Advisory Network and the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve. Currently, Angela is a Human Resources Manager for Crayola where she specializes in compliance of employment law and legislation, as well as recruitment and retention. She has a Bachelor’s degree in business administration and a Master’s degree in human resource management.
