WASHINGTON, D.C. — The Military Child Education Coalition® (MCEC) is returning to Washington, DC for its annual summit focused on the unique experiences of military children and students. The MCEC Global Summit (formerly known as the National Training Seminar) will be held from Monday, July 18 to Wednesday, July 20, at the Renaissance Downtown Washington Hotel.

Highlights include the Summit’s opening session (July 18 at 6:30 pm ET) with First Lady Jill Biden and an exhibition of art by military-connected children and youth.

Featured speakers include:

The Honorable Gil Cisneros, Undersecretary of Defense for Personnel and Readiness (July 20, 12pm)

Navy ADM Christopher Grady, 12th vice chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and his wife Christine (July 20, 2pm)

Air Force Gen. David W. Allvin, vice chief of staff of the Air Force (July 20, 8:30 am ET)

Army LTG Ronald J. Place, M.D., director, Defense Health Agency (July 19, 2 pm ET)

Troy Stevenson, Senior Campaign Manager for Advocacy and Government Affairs, The Trevor Project (July 20, 11 am ET)

The Summit will also highlight outstanding military-connected student-scholars from across the country.
